If you've played a whole lot of parking games, and are now hoping to find something a little different, then Carbon Auto Theft may well be just the game you've been waiting for! Just clicking the Story link on the main intro screen will make it clear that this is not the sort of game you'll usually find in this genre! Rather than trying to park cars as part of an honest day's work, this time around, you play the part of an expert car thief. You are already the best in the country - but now you have to try to become the best in the world.

As with other parking games, you must use the keyboard to control your car. You should use the four arrow keys for basic maneuvers, but you can also hit the space bar when you need to slam on the hand brake. From time to time, it will be necessary to enter certain codes, and you can do this conventionally, by typing in the required words on your keyboard. There's a nice practice mode to get you started, but sooner or later, you will have no choice but to get out there into the big, bad world, and start your career of crime!

The big advantage of practice mode is that you can play any of Carbon Auto Theft's 10 levels. However, only the most basic features of the game are enabled, and you will not be able to submit your score at the end of the game. On both the practice and the normal modes, you will have a choice between easy and hard difficulty. The main difference between the two is that in hard mode, the screen rotates as you steer the car. Oh, and don't hit any other cars, otherwise the cops will be on your tail!
