You may consider yourself an expert at car parking games, but that doesn't mean you're going to find 18 Wheeler an easy ride. In this game, set in Texas, your task is to take charge of a large truck. You must maneuver this truck around the obstacles placed in your path, and position it correctly in the parking space reserved for it. There are 14 levels, each one a little trickier than the last, so there's plenty of opportunity to show your skills - but there are also plenty of dangers waiting along the way! If you successfully park your truck, you'll be shown your score, and allowed to proceed to the following level.

As is generally the case with parking games, with this one the controls are pretty simple. You can use the up arrow key to increase your speed, the down arrow to brake or shift into reverse gear, and the left and right arrows to steer. Remember, an 18 Wheeler truck is very heavy, and takes a lot more steering than an ordinary car. That means you'll have to plan your moves very carefully, especially on levels where there is other moving traffic on the screen. If you smash into either another vehicle or a roadside obstruction, you lose the game.

One of the best things about 18 Wheeler is its atmospheric feel. The designers really caught the Texan mood, including both dramatic music and evocative graphics, making you really feel as though you're driving a large truck through the wide expanses of the country. These little touches add a lot to the game's appeal, and together with the different challenge of controlling such a large vehicle, they make this a game that you're sure to enjoy. Just make sure that you remember you're using a computer, rather than out there on the road for real!
