There are a large number of parking games set in the current era, but Car Parking 2050 is something a little more futuristic. As its name implies, the game is set in the year 2050, and your vehicle is considerably more advanced than the normal road cars you drive in most games of this type! The object is fairly similar, though - you must get your car positioned perfectly in its designated parking slot, and you must do so before the timer runs out. Fail, and it's game over. Succeed, and you can move on to the following level.
Unusually for a flash game, and rather impressively too, this game includes quite a detailed options screen. As well as sliders to control the volume of the music and sound effects, you can also choose the level of graphical detail you desire. This may come in very useful for those players with older computers, and should make game play smoother and more enjoyable. It's also possible to toggle the Auto Pause feature on and off. This screen is where you'll find the instructions, which are simple enough - use the arrow keys to control your car, and the space bar to slam on the brakes!
The graphics are very impressive in this parking game, and they have a neon-tinged look to them that really gives the game a sci-fi feel. It's important not to let yourself get too distracted by the game's looks, though! If you cause too much damage to your car while trying to park it, you'll be heading for an early exit. This is quite a difficult game, and even on the early levels you will need to be very accurate, so make sure you concentrate. Car Parking 2050 is a very polished game, and it really stands out in the parking games genre. It's definitely a game that you can enjoy playing again and again.
