Mad Parking is one of the more detailed parking games around. The central aim of the game remains the same as is usually the case in this genre, in that you control a car and have to maneuver it into its assigned parking spot, which you can see on the radar display at the top of your screen. However, there are quite a lot of extra features in this game, and those mark it out as one that will take a little bit of learning! On the plus side, that does mean that, when you manage to get your car successfully parked in its correct position, the feeling of accomplishment you receive is quite strong.

It's very important to read the instruction screen carefully before you set out on your parking quest. It's true that the basic controls are pretty standard, in that you use the left and right arrow keys to steer your car, the up arrow key to increase its speed, and the down arrow key to slow down or to shift into reverse. What's different, though, is the number of obstacles placed in your way. For example, there are speed breakers, which will reduce your speed - and even dynamite, which will not actually make your car explode, but will blast away 30 seconds of your time!

You'll be playing Mad Parking against the clock, so always keep one eye on the timer that's shown continuously. The time limit tends to be quite tight, but you can buy yourself a little more breathing space by collecting watch icons, which will add 30 seconds of precious time to your allocation. Some of the later levels require you to find a certain number of key icons before you can complete the stage, so on those levels, you won't simply be able to make a dash for the finish. Got all that?
