Description:

Given the name of Mafia Driver, you might think that you are going to be playing one of the bad guys this time around. But, in fact, that's very far from being the truth. Instead, you take the part of Detective Rayen, going undercover to try to infiltrate the mob, and bring them to justice! To succeed in your mission, you will have to drive well enough for the mafia to accept you as a part of their team. If that happens, then the police will be able to gather enough evidence to arrest the criminals - so your role in all this is a vital one.

The control keys in this game are very slightly different from those you may have encountered in other driving and parking games. Although the basic movement of the car is accomplished by means of the usual four arrow keys, if you want to slam on the brakes, you'll have to remember to press the Ctrl key. If it all gets too much for you and you need a break, you can stop the game temporarily by pressing the P key. However, you shouldn't let your mind wander too much, otherwise you're likely to fail in your mission - and the consequences for that could be dire!

The dark and moody graphics in Mafia Driver help to give it a fantastic atmosphere, and you really can feel the tension in the air as you drive. You're working against the clock - there's a timer at the top of the screen - and you'll also lose one of your five lives every time you hit something. Keep an eye on the advice and comments you will be given by your colleagues, which will be shown at the bottom left of the screen. Be careful - if you get it wrong, you're likely to be sleeping with the fishes tonight!
