Reverse Parking
Description:
If you think you're one of the best when it comes to parking games, then Reverse Parking may just force you to think again! This is a particularly tricky game, and one that calls for a good deal of skill and judgment. It's also a very nicely polished game, right from the attractive opening screen, which is accompanied by some quite professional sounding music. You can in fact turn the audio off, by clicking on the loudspeaker icon to the top right, but that does rob the game of some of its atmosphere, so it's probably best to leave it on if you're not in a quiet place!
Clicking the Instructions menu entry will explain how the game works, and as with most parking games, it looks pretty simple on the face of it. Viewing the playing area from on top, you will have to use the four arrow keys to maneuver your car into its designated parking space. Those are the only controls you need to remember, as unlike some parking games, this one does not require other controls for hard braking, or to acknowledge the end of a level. When you get your car into the appropriate spot, the level will end automatically, and you will be given your score.
Just before you begin the game, you can choose from four different cars. This has no bearing on the game other than changing your vehicle's appearance, but it's a nice touch in any case. Reverse Parking doesn't have a countdown timer, but each level does have a number of small fuel pump icons - collect these to add to your score. Even from the second level, it can be very tricky to control your car perfectly around the tight corners, so the lack of a time limit doesn't make the game a lot easier! Driving backwards takes a lot of practice, so make sure you keep your wits about you.
