When you read the name of Skilled Parker, you'll probably get a pretty good idea of what you have to do in this parking game. It's one of the more straightforward titles in the genre, since there's no complex back-story to learn. All you have to do is to park your car, getting it into its designated parking spot without hitting anything, and before the 60 second time limit is up. If you succeed, then you'll be allowed to go on to the next level - but if you should fail, you will be unceremoniously removed from the game!
This time around, you'll be driving an open-top Jeep, so you can see your arms working inside the car, even though you're looking at the playing area from on top. There are only four controls to remember, which correspond to the four arrow keys. You can steer left and right by pressing the key bearing that arrow, you can accelerate by pressing the up arrow, and you can brake or go backward with the down arrow. You'll need to be careful, since your Jeep has a very responsive engine, meaning that even the slightest touch on a control will move you almost instantly.
It's fair to say that this game really lives up to its name, in that it's quite a difficult parking game. Even on level 1, the parking space you have to get into is pretty small, and the parking lot is packed with other cars, so you'll need to concentrate right from the word go. On the other hand, this fairly steep learning curve does mean that there's a real feeling of accomplishment to be had whenever you do manage to complete a level. Keep a cool head, keep your eyes open, and guide your car into its proper space, and you'll be worthy of the title Skilled Parker!
